Odessa, Texas — SouthWest Bank is proud to announce the creation of their new oil and gas department and the appointment of two new employees as the bank looks to provide specific support to a major industry in the region. The recent addition of Richard Davis Browning II and Wes Webb strengthen SouthWest Bank’s commitment to serving the oil and gas market.

Webb accepted the position of senior vice president – commercial lender. Webb has over 25 years of experience in energy lending. Previously, he served as senior vice president – account officer at First Oklahoma Bank and as senior vice president and manager at Bank of Oklahoma for 12 years. Webb has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas Permian Basin.

Browning accepted the position of vice president - commercial lender. He has been involved with oil and gas production financing in the Dallas area for the last seven years and most recently served as a portfolio manager with Texas Capital Bank. Browning began his banking career as an energy analyst with Comerica, Inc. and moved into underwriting and portfolio management with Texas Capital Bank’s energy finance division. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University.
