SouthWest Bank’s Donation to West Texas Food Bank Will Provide 40,000 Meals
SouthWest Bank recently made a $10,000 donation to the West Texas Food Bank to deliver food to those in need and help keep the people in our communities fed.
When the employees at SouthWest Bank realized their annual Christmas party would not occur this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and with so many in the community struggling, they decided to donate the funds that were set aside for the party.
“SouthWest Bank has always been passionate about helping our communities, especially when they need it the most. Our employees realized the best use of the funds from our Christmas party would be to help feed families that are facing challenges during this difficult time,” said Dewey Bryant, CEO of SouthWest Bank. “I am so proud that our employees are always thinking of ways we can help and make a difference.”
“We are so excited to receive this donation from SouthWest Bank,” said Craig Stoker, Director of Communications for the West Texas Food Bank. “This donation comes at a critical time for the Food Bank, and will help us to provide an additional 40,000 meals to hungry West Texans. SouthWest Bank continues to give back to their community, and we are so happy to have their support.”
By donating to The West Texas Food Bank, SouthWest Bank knew their contribution would go far. The West Texas Food Bank is the largest collaborative non-profit agency in the Permian Basin, and distributes donated and purchased food to children, families and seniors through a network of more than 80 partner agencies across 34,000 square miles of West Texas. 92 cents of every dollar donated to the West Texas Food Bank goes directly to feeding hungry West Texans.
